A fascination with newspapers hit me at an early age. I loved the photos, the text and the stories they told. I wanted to share these experiences with others and that led me to study journalism throughout high school and college. I spent my winter breaks working at a local photography shop in Upper Arlington, Ohio, and my school year learning about writing in Athens, Ohio, at Ohio University.
As I neared my college graduation, the newspaper and magazine industries began to decline as the “new” online media outlets took hold. I took my journalism degree and used the communication and people skills I learned to pursue a career in the Ohio legislature and later in residential real estate. I started to enjoy taking photos of the homes I was selling as much as I enjoyed working with my clients, so I decided to learn about the technical side of photography with the hope of launching my own photography business. Photos really do speak loudly and can tell a story. Let me help you tell yours.
